Virginia Ressa

Virginia Ressa works for the Ohio Department of Education as the project coordinator for FIP Your School Ohio. A former middle school teacher, she is committed to ensuring that Ohio educators have high-quality professional learning tools that support their transition to new standards.

Mary Peters, Ph.D.

Mary Peters is a Senior Project Director at Battelle for Kids, overseeing the FIP Your School Ohio partnership with the Ohio Department of Education. Prior to joining Battelle for Kids, Mary served as the director of assessment and planning for the Westerville City School District where she was responsible for building the district’s assessment system. She also formerly served as a special education teacher, supervisor, and college instructor. She is passionate about making sure all students have access to a high-quality education.

Bobby Moore, Ed.D.

As a Senior Director of Strategic Engagement at Battelle for Kids, Bobby works with schools and districts across the country to help them identify areas for improvement and provide the powerful practices, principal leadership, support, and tools needed to achieve their educational-improvement goals. He also leads SOAR, a statewide school improvement collaborative comprised of more than 100 Ohio school districts.

Author of the book, Inspire, Motivate, Collaborate: Leading with Emotional Intelligence, Bobby strives to inspire and motivate educators through collaboration, professional learning, innovation, and a laser-like focus on the mission to ensure all students reach their fullest potential.

Whitney Eubanks

Whitney Eubanks is a Senior Communications Specialist at Battelle for Kids, and is currently providing strategic marketing and communications counsel to the the FIP Your School Ohio project and the Ohio Leadership Advisory Council (OLAC).

Kate Kennedy

Kate Kennedy currently teaches 6th grade English language arts in Worthington. Prior to this role, she was a School Improvement Specialist at Battelle for Kids. Kate is the co-author of the book How to Use Value-Added Analysis to Improve Student Learning: A field guide for school and district leaders. Kate has been English language arts and social studies teacher for six years, working in Los Angeles and New York prior to Columbus.

Carol Harper

Carol Harper graduated from the University of Dayton in May ‘13 with degrees in Special Education and Spanish. She now works as an independent consultant for Battelle for Kids and is pursuing her Master of Public Administration with a concentration in education policy for The Ohio State University. 

Nathan Okuley

Nathan Okuley is a Communications Specialist at Battelle for Kids, and is currently providing strategic marketing and communications counsel to the FIP Your School Ohio project. He has a background in social media and content marketing consulting with an emphasis on dynamic storytelling. He recently moved back to Columbus after living in San Francisco and Atlanta.
